Sinusitis is a condition consisting of inflammation of the paranasal sinuses, which may or may not be as a result of infection, from bacterial, fungal, viral, allergic or autoimmune issues.
Symptoms:
- fever
- thick opaque yellow-green nasal discharge
- pain over the infected sinuses
- headache that lasts all day
- swelling around the eyes
- increased pain with bending
- change in taste
- have bad breath
- Use zithromax
- Drink lots of water, to help loosen secretions. Drink six to eight extra glasses of water a day.
- Use a humidifier in your bedroom or fill a basin with hot water, place a towel over your head and lean over the basin to breathe in the moist air.
- Elevating your head when lying down will give relief from the stuffy feeling.
- Follow up with your health care provider, as recommended.
